Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Front-end Engineer 4 in Richmond, VA to lead the design and delivery of high-impact front-end features for 100M+ customers. You’ll guide architecture, contribute to BFF/MFE patterns, and champion performance, accessibility, and DX across teams.

You will mentor peers, drive AI-assisted development practices, and implement modern web tooling (PWAs, Service Workers) to accelerate product delivery while maintaining quality and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience developing applications using TypeScript, HTML, CSS and modern web frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Software Engineers, Designers, and PMs to deliver high-performing features for 100M+ customers.
• Provide technical leadership for front-end architecture and design patterns.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI-assisted development practices.
