Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Front End Engineer to drive modern UI solutions for millions of Americans. You’ll own the technical design, mentor peers, and collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based experiences using JavaScript, React, Angular, TypeScript, and Java.

You will work in a fast-paced environment focused on open source frameworks, cross-browser compatibility, and scalable front-end architectures across multi-platform systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of developers on distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Perform front end development with a test-driven approach.
• Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform applications.
• Mentor other engineers and share knowledge about new technologies and best practices.
• Partner with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based experiences for users.
• Work with JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript and Java across browsers and devices.
