Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a skilled Front End Software Engineer in Chantilly, VA. The candidate will design and develop modular front-end components and features, with extensive Angular experience and a passion for performance.

The role requires a hands-on developer comfortable in an Agile environment, collaborating with designers and engineers to translate business requirements into intuitive user interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
• 8–10 years of software development experience.
• Extensive experience with Angular.
• Experience designing complex search interfaces.
• Experience optimizing web apps for performance and usability.
• Proficient with Git and source control.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable components aligned with system design patterns.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in team design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to meet requirements and UX goals.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Provide maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and support customers with software issues.
