Job summary

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of professional front-end development experience.
- Experience with WordPress development, theming, customization, and content management.
- Experience implementing accessible, responsive, and mobile-friendly user experiences.
- Experience supporting Agile development teams.
- Experience collaborating with designers, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead frontend development efforts for Military OneSource and related sites.
- Build responsive, accessible web experiences using WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Translate UX wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts into production-ready solutions.
- Implement interactive user experiences and front-end functionality that improve customer engagement.
- Ensure Section 508 and WCAG accessibility compliance across all websites and digital experiences.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs, services, and dynamic content.
- Support content management, template development, and component-based design in WordPress.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex front-end, usability, accessibility, and performance issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Partner with product owners and stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital experience improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers.
- Support modernization initiatives across MODES III.
- Contribute to requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation planning.
- Document development standards, accessibility guidance, reusable components, and best practices.
