Job summary

BCforward in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a Full Stack Developer with a strong frontend focus to join our Engineering team. The role is roughly 60% frontend and 40% backend, with React/TypeScript on the frontend and Java on the backend.

You will help bring AI agents and agent-driven workflows into the Cloud Health product. You will design and build responsive interfaces, evolve MFEs, work with SQL databases, and implement AI workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong frontend with React and TypeScript capabilities.
• Experience with MFEs and component-driven UI.
• Backend services in Java and SQL knowledge.
• Ability to implement AI agents/workflows and MCP connections.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain responsive, high-quality user interfaces in React and TypeScript.
• Build and evolve micro frontends (MFEs) and shared UI components documented in Storybook.
• Develop and enhance backend services and APIs in Java.
• Work with SQL databases, including schema design, queries, and performance tuning.
• Create and manage AI agents and AI workflows, and integrate them into the product.
• Connect agents to tools and data sources using MCP, and design multi-agent solutions.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests with Jest and Cypress.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in an Agile team.
• Take part in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and help raise engineering standards.

Full Stack Developer (Frontend-Focused)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey – Onsite

About the Role

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer with a strong frontend focus to join our Engineering team in New Jersey. You’ll build and improve the Cloud Health product, which gives customers visibility into the health of their private and public cloud environments. The role is roughly 60% frontend and 40% backend: most of your time goes to building polished, performant React interfaces, with the rest spent on the Java services behind them. You’ll also help bring AI agents and agent-driven workflows into the product.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain responsive, high-quality user interfaces in React and TypeScript
• Build and evolve micro frontends (MFEs) and shared UI components documented in Storybook
• Develop and enhance backend services and APIs in Java
• Work with SQL databases, including schema design, queries, and performance tuning
• Create and manage AI agents and AI workflows, and integrate them into the product
• Connect agents to tools and data sources using MCP, and design multi-agent solutions

Required Skills

• Strong, hands-on experience with React, including hooks, state management, component design, and performance optimization
• Solid working knowledge of micro frontends (MFEs)
• Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, and the DOM
• Experience with Jest for unit testing and Cypress for end-to-end testing
• Experience building and documenting components with Storybook
• Solid experience with Java for backend development
• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience creating and managing AI agents and AI workflows
• Experience with agent connectivity using MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS services
• Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, or cloud management products
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Background in enterprise or SaaS product development
