This is a non-entry level role requiring in-person work in the Greater High Point area, NC, with travel not reimbursed.

• 3-5+ years experience in journalism, editorial writing, magazine writing, or feature storytelling.
• Exceptional writing, grammar, and communication skills.
• Strong research and interview capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Organized, responsive, and detail-oriented.
• Passion for community-centered storytelling.
• Located within the Greater High Point, NC.

Responsibilities

• Feature Articles: In-depth magazine stories (up to 2,400 words).
• Meet & Greet Profiles: Short-form spotlight pieces (≈300 words).
• Interviewing community leaders, business owners, residents, or featured subjects.
• Independent research and fact-checking.
• Revising drafts based on editorial feedback.
• Submitting final copy for print and digital publication.
