Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data-driven Fraud Analytics professional in the United States to minimize fraud loss and protect customer experience. You will leverage Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and relational databases to model risks and support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex analysis and modeling to minimize fraud loss exposure and protect customer experience.
  • Utilize Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and relational databases to support fraud strategies.
  • Evaluate data to assess fraud risk and create mitigation strategies.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives across client protection, policy, operations, and technology.
  • Support funded technology projects including new product launches and client contact capability enhancements.
  • Respond to immediate fraud threats and monitor evolving fraud landscape.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Analyze financial models, market data, and portfolio trends to inform decisions.
  • Lead production of product performance reports for senior management.
  • Oversee self-service processes, defect reviews, and access to fraud platforms.
  • Support fraud policy changes and oversight of fraud system privileges.

Job description

  • • Perform complex analysis and modeling to minimize fraud loss exposure and negative impacts to customer experience
  • • Utilize Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and relational databases to provide analytical support on strategies
  • • Evaluate data to assess potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies
  • • Build relationships and drive business initiatives across Client Protection strategies, policy, operations, and technology areas
  • • Drive and support funded technology projects across applicable lines of business, including new product launches and client contact capability enhancements
  • • Respond urgently to immediate fraud threats while monitoring future risks, vulnerabilities, and changes in the fraud landscape
  • • Recommend ways to achieve desired business outcomes and inform decisions using data analysis outputs
  • • Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends
  • • Lead coordination of product performance reports and updates for senior management
  • • Provide quality oversight for self-service processes, complete defect reviews, and monitor fraud platform access
  • • Support fraud policy modifications, evaluation of digital client communications, and oversight of fraud system privileges
Requirements
  • Understanding of 1st and 3rd party fraud, scams and/or mules
  • 1+ years of project management or team manager experience
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with line of business leaders and multiple stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a complex and rapidly-changing environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills

  • Proven track record of building and deploying Fraud process and control changes
  • Advanced Excel capability
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of Flash system experience within multiple fraud LOBs
  • SQL/SAS coding knowledge and/or experience
  • 2+ years of fraud/fraud detection experience
  • Experience performing complex data analytics to identify fraud trends, measure business performance, and support strategic decision-making
  • Working knowledge of SAS and/or SQL, including the ability to extract, manipulate, analyze, and validate large datasets
  • Experience translating analytical findings into actionable recommendations and executive-level reporting
