Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Senior FPGA & Imaging Systems Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Morrisville, NC. You will design, implement, and verify FPGA-based architectures for advanced imaging systems, develop image processing pipelines, and integrate sensor interfaces with optics.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and product engineering teams to optimize image quality and system reliability, documenting designs and mentoring other engineers in lab environments.

Qualifications

• Advanced imaging and FPGA-based systems experience.
• Experience with imaging sensors and optics integration.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with lab environments, build systems, and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify FPGA-based architectures for imaging systems.
• Develop image processing pipelines and high-speed data paths.
• Define system requirements and create hardware/firmware specifications.
• Code and simulate FPGA logic, integrate imaging sensors and optics.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to optimize image quality, performance, and reliability.
• Mentor and guide other engineers; support validation and production testing.
