Job summary

VTG in Reston, VA seeks a Staff FPGA Engineer to rapidly develop, test, and implement FPGA designs on Xilinx SoC platforms. You will work with VHDL/Verilog, HDL simulations, and bring-up on ARM-based systems.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in a related field and 12+ years of FPGA experience, with Xilinx SoC experience highly preferred. A U.S. security clearance is preferred for this defense-focused role.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of professional FPGA design experience.
• Experience with Xilinx SoC is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Vivado, ModelSim or Quartus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate third-party vendors IP as necessary.
• Participate in the complete design life cycle from requirements to board bring up.
• Implement high-speed signaling and signal processing using HDL.
• Investigate and resolve bugs at HDL and system levels during testing.
