Job summary

Owen Daniels in Texas (USA) is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join our aerospace-focused team. You will own the FPGA design lifecycle, driving development from RTL to silicon, using Verilog on Xilinx devices, and collaborating with audio/video product teams.

The role requires 5–10+ years in FPGA/embedded fields, experience with Xilinx Spartan/Artix/Kintex/Virtex/Zynq, and familiarity with interfaces such as SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, HDMI.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of FPGA experience.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGAs (Spartan, Artix, Kintex, Virtex, Zynq SoC).
• Video/audio processing experience and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, HDMI, SDI, MIPI.
• Firmware development in Embedded C/C++ on Linux is a bonus.
• Lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA design lifecycle from concept through verification.
• Develop Verilog for Xilinx devices and integrate with HW/SW teams.
• Collaborate with audio/video teams on product requirements.
• Support hardware integration, debug, and testing across boards.

I'm supporting an established & successful Aerospace organization located in Texas (USA) that's looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer to join the team.

Salary: The salary on offer for the Senior FPGA Engineer is $150,000-$220,000 per annum.

The Role:

The successful Senior FPGA Engineer will work across the full FPGA Design & Development lifecycle to work on Verilog, Xilinx FPGA Development and work on exciting products and technologies for Audio & Video.

We're looking for experience with:

• 5-10+ years professional industry experience
• Experience of Xilinx FPGAs – Spartan, Artix, Kintex, Virtex, Zynq SoC
• Interfaces - SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS485, Ethernet, PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, HDMI, SDI, MIPI
• Experience of video and audio processing algorithms
• Firmware Development, Embedded C, C++, Linux - Bonus
• Lab Equipment – Oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters
• Industry experience in Aerospace, Defense, Audio, Video - Bonus
