Job summary

Solidus Technical Solutions, LLC in Tucson, AZ is seeking a seasoned Senior FPGA Design and Verification Engineer to develop and verify high-performance hardware designs on-site. You will manage the full lifecycle from requirements through integration and testing, using VHDL across major vendor platforms for high-speed communications, DSP, and embedded interfaces.

This role requires an active Secret clearance, a Bachelor's with 8+ years (or Master's with 6+), and hands-on experience with FPGA

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience, OR Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience in digital design and VHDL coding.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools.
• Ability to deliver FPGA solutions to system-level applications.
• Hands-on integration and debugging experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production quality FPGA releases from concept to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and CONOPS.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Design and code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs using self-checking tests with directed/constrained random testing and track coverage.
• Drive projects to meet schedules on time and budget.
• Create documentation including requirements, verification plan, and user guides.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
