Job summary

HARMAN is seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to design and develop FPGAs for audio and video products. The role includes leading design decisions, coordinating tasks within a team, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.

You will work on AV products and support ongoing product development in Richardson, TX. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of Verilog HDL experience and hands-on work with Zynq/Altera SoC devices, DDR3/DDR4 interfaces, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years Verilog HDL programming.
• Experience with Altera and AMD (Xilinx) FPGA families.
• Familiarity with DDR3/DDR4 memory interfaces.
• Experience with FPGA devices with embedded processors like Xilinx Zynq SoC and Altera SoC.
• Ability to testbench and simulate RTL code. Questa Simulator a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGAs for audio and video products.
• Lead design and architecture decisions by acting as a subject matter expert for targeted technologies.
• Manage assigned tasks and schedules.
• Follow engineering standards and procedures for FPGA development.
• Work with a team of engineers to bring products to the AV industry.
• Support others within the company as needed.
