Job summary

Xona Space is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to lead architectural specification and design for next-generation LEO PNT satellite systems. You will own the FPGA signal-processing pipeline from concept to flight-ready hardware, making critical trade-offs between algorithmic ideals and hardware constraints.

You will drive timing closure, power optimization, and system-level verification while guiding a team of engineers and coordinating with software, RF, and navigation groups to deliver robust

Qualifications

• PhD or MS/BS in EE/CE or related field with 7+ years of FPGA/DSP experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex FPGA signal-processing systems from architecture to hardware validation.
• Deep expertise in fixed-point DSP, pipelining, and resource optimization.

Responsibilities

• Define and specify hardware architecture for high-dynamic acquisition, tracking, data decoding, and measurement processing pipelines.
• Lead fixed-point design, resource budgeting, and pipeline optimization to meet performance targets.
• Establish RTL best practices and guide junior engineers through design cycles and hardware validation.
