Job summary

Xona Space seeks an FPGA Engineer to design high‑performance signal processing for next‑gen LEO PNT satellite systems. You will implement DSP/communication algorithms in RTL and collaborate with systems, RF and software teams to deliver flight‑ready hardware.

Responsibilities include RTL authoring, fixed‑point design, FPGA optimization, verification/CI/CD, SW integration, and thorough documentation of performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of FPGA development experience.
• Strong DSP fundamentals (filters, FFT, NCOs).
• Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog and FPGA toolchains.
• Experience with fixed‑point modeling and bit‑accurate verification.
• Comfort with Python/TCL/bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Author RTL: implement acquisition, tracking, data decoding, synchronization, and measurement‑processing in FPGAs.
• DSP fixed‑point design: convert floating‑point models into fixed‑point micro‑architecture.
• FPGA optimization: timing closure, latency, power, resource efficiency.
• Verification & CI/CD: develop testbenches, simulate, validate against reference models.
• SW integration: hardware bring‑up, debugging, SW integration and performance validation.
• Documentation: document RTL architecture, design trade‑offs, verification results, and performance metrics.
