Job summary

Anduril Industries in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to lead airborne radar FPGA development. You will translate algorithms into hardware and drive design from concept to production.

You will own RTL, verification, timing closure, and collaborate with the Costa Mesa team to ensure seamless integration across projects. A 12+ year FPGA background and a US security clearance are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics or computer engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of professional FPGA design and development experience.
• Strong RTL design expertise with SystemVerilog and/or VHDL.
• Experience with Altera FPGA devices and development tools (Vivado, Quartus, etc.).
• Proven DSP implementation experience on FPGAs.
• Self-directed technical leadership driving projects from requirements to implementation.
• Experience with FPGA verification methodologies and simulation tools.
• Strong timing closure, resource optimization, and FPGA design constraints.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA architecture, design, and verification for airborne radar systems.
• Translate signal processing algorithms into FPGA implementations on Altera SOC/FPGA platforms.
• Establish and drive robust FPGA design processes, coding standards, and verification methodologies.
• Collaborate with the Battlespace Awareness team to ensure design consistency across sites.
• Design and implement DSP chains for radar data acquisition, filtering, and real-time processing.
• Perform timing analysis, resource optimization, and debugging of complex FPGA designs.
• Develop and maintain design documentation and verification plans.
• Mentor engineers and help scale FPGA capabilities.
