Job summary

Dechert LLP seeks a Senior Manager, FP&A, to own nuanced financial modeling, forecasting, and profitability analysis. You will present executive-ready materials and partner with BI and Finance teams to translate data into actionable insights for leadership.

The role supports revenue forecasting, rate analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic planning, reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Data Analytics. On-site in Philadelphia with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IS, or STEM required; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years in a professional services finance environment with FP&A focus.
• Strong FP&A foundation: forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, reporting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; can explain complex models.
• Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation skills.
• Experience with large data sets; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or BI tools.
• Excellent communication, time management, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Independently build, maintain, and enhance complex financial models for revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and profitability.
• Develop forecasts incorporating trends, staffing, and client dynamics.
• Support growth analyses, including revenue and compensation projections.
• Prepare executive-ready analyses and presentations for leadership.
• Analyze drivers like hours, rates, realization, leverage, and market trends.
• Collaborate with BI and finance teams to leverage data and dashboards.
• Translate data into actionable insights for planning, pricing, staffing, and decisions.
• Conduct detailed expense, headcount, and operating-cost analyses for budgets and forecasts.
