Job summary

Dyne Therapeutics in Waltham, MA, seeks an Associate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to drive planning, forecasting, and analytics across the organization. You will own FP&A reporting tools, planning applications, and a financial data warehouse to enable data-driven decisions.

You will partner with Accounting and IT to deliver scalable reporting, create dashboards, and provide actionable insights that support portfolio choices and long-term growth strategies.

Qualifications

• 8 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, business analysis, or related financial roles.
• Experience supporting annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial reporting processes.
• Expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, variance analysis, and business performance management.
• Experience administering and optimizing financial planning, reporting, BI, and enterprise financial systems.
• Experience working with financial data warehouses and partnering with IT teams on reporting and systems enhancement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
• Experience partnering with Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated financial solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and short- and long-range financial plans.
• Monitor budget versus actual performance and provide variance analysis, insights, and recommendations to business leaders.
• Build and maintain financial models to support KPI analysis, portfolio prioritization, and investment decisions.
• Conduct scenario planning and investment analyses, including evaluation of resource allocation and buy-up opportunities.
• Perform balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, COGS, and CAPEX/fixed asset analyses to support decision making.
