Job summary

The Coats Company is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to serve as a trusted financial partner to operations, supply chain, and executive management on site in LaVergne, TN. The role combines driver-based forecasting, cost analysis on the plant floor, and presenting findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or cost/financial analysis experience.
• Direct experience in light manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-heavy environments.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex modeling and large data sets.
• Working with large data sets and reconciling financial and operational data.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and the three financial statements.
• Ability to translate financial concepts to non-finance audiences and influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes with timeline management.
• Build driver-based models tied to volume, unit cost, capacity, and freight.
• Deliver monthly/quarterly variance analysis with root-cause explanations.
• Partner with accounting during close to reflect accruals and reporting assumptions.
• Act as finance partner for make/buy, staffing, capital requests, and cost initiatives.
• Develop scenario models for demand shifts, input cost inflation, tariffs, and capacity.
• Prepare executive materials and support long-range planning and cash flow forecasting.
• Own management reporting packages, dashboards, and KPI reporting, reducing manual effort.
