Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing, a leading Tier 1 supplier, seeks a Senior FP&A Associate to join the finance team in Walker, MI. The role focuses on detailed financial analysis, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to improve financial performance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ESOP and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field required.
• Advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting in manufacturing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to explain complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions, including product profitability and cost optimization.
• Create financial models and forecasts to support budgeting and monitor performance vs. budget.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, board and external stakeholders.
• Participate in strategic planning to identify objectives and financial plans.
• Search out and correct inconsistent data, solve problems, and develop new analysis methods.
• Provide financial analysis and support to cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, HR, and operations.
• Execute ad hoc financial analyses and present recommendations to key stakeholders.
