First Merchants Bank is seeking a FP&A Senior Financial Analyst I to join our team in a hybrid role based in Daleville, IN. The analyst will deliver reporting, detailed analysis and executive summaries of financial information across segments, including margin, variances, trends, and KPIs.

Responsibilities include monthly variance analysis, budgeting support, and KPI reporting. You will analyze data with SQL and Power BI, collaborate with leaders on budgets, and help implement process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• Five+ years of finance/financial analyst experience
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with financial statement analysis
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly analysis of segment financials, variance and KPI reports
• Analyze large datasets using SQL and Power BI
• Support annual planning with run rates and budget adjustments
• Collaborate with FP&A and leaders on budgets/forecasts
• Prepare and file SEC Section 16 reports for directors/insiders as assigned
• Train end users on reporting tools and reports
