First Merchants Bank is seeking a FP&A Senior Financial Analyst I to join our team. This hybrid role requires in-office days in Daleville, IN and focuses on reporting, detailed analysis, and executive summaries for multiple business segments.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, KPI tracking, budgeting support, and the automation of reporting with tools such as Power BI and SQL. Candidate should have strong Excel skills and experience with financial statement analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of finance, financial analyst, or related experience.
• 5+ years of analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
• 2+ years of experience performing financial statement analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with complex formulas (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF/THEN, Pivot).

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly analysis of financial information by segment including variance, trends, profitability, and KPI reporting.
• Analyze large datasets using SQL and Power BI to support business partners.
• Analyze budget information including run rates, one-time adjustments, and annual planning impacts.
• Collaborate with FP&A and other leaders to support budgeting across lines of business.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly internal reports and support budget reporting.
