Job summary

Ledgent is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst for a government contracting organization in the Phoenix area. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis across multiple programs, bringing strong EVM and EAC discipline to the role.

You will partner with program managers and executives to drive financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and develop robust financial models.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in FP&A, financial analysis, or government contracting finance.
• Experience supporting multiple units, departments, or programs.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, modeling, variance analysis, and executive reporting.
• Hands-on Earned Value Management (EVM) experience and EAC forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and long-range planning across multiple units.
• Develop monthly forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Analyze program profitability, labor utilization, and key metrics.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc leadership reports.
• Partner with leaders to improve financial performance and strategic decisions.
• Manage EVM reporting requirements across government contracts.
• Prepare and analyze EAC forecasts for programs.
• Perform variance analysis and communicate drivers.
• Develop financial models to support initiatives.
• Support month-end close and special projects.
