Job summary

Ascendo Resources is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, to support company-wide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics. This hands-on role requires building structured financial models, working with ERP and operational data, and translating business drivers into financial insights.

The position is fully onsite in Jacksonville, FL, supporting budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, dashboards, and process improvements for corporate finance leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, MIS, or a related quantitative field.
• 3–6 years of FP&A, corporate finance, finance analytics, or closely related work.
• Advanced Excel skills with structured modeling, financial analysis, and data manipulation.
• Experience building, maintaining, and improving complex financial models.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver-based budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and sensitivity models.
• Develop structured, repeatable financial models that improve forecast accuracy and reporting consistency.
• Extract, clean, organize, and analyze financial and operational data from ERP, BI, and structured data sources.
• Support recurring monthly reporting, management reporting packages, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis.
• Perform variance analysis tied to operational and financial drivers.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support better business decisions.
• Improve reporting workflows by reducing manual spreadsheet work and strengthening automation.
• Partner with accounting and operational teams to validate assumptions and improve data structure.
• Support scalable reporting processes, model integrity, and repeatable planning architecture.
• Participate in the interview process, including an Excel assessment.
