Job summary

Kforce has a client in New York, NY seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making initiatives. The role partners with Finance leadership to provide insights, develop forecasting models, analyze performance, and drive key planning processes.

The successful candidate will build budgets, prepare reports, analyze metrics, and create executive dashboards while mentoring junior analysts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 4-6+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or related disciplines.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and key financial metrics.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and key business metrics.
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and business initiatives.
• Partner with department leaders to understand business drivers and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reporting packages.
• Support month-end and quarter-end financial review processes.
• Monitor KPIs and identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting business performance.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, business case evaluations, and ROI assessments.
• Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational planning activities.
• Improve reporting processes, analytical tools, and financial models.
• Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A teams to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide analytical support across the Finance organization.
