Job summary

e.l.f. Beauty is seeking a Senior Analyst, FP&A – Commercial Finance in Oakland, CA to partner with the Commercial Team and own budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis for sales allowances and operating expenses.

You'll develop sophisticated models for negotiations, retail expansion, and promotional ROI, collaborating with budget owners to translate drivers into clear projections. Strong Excel, SAP/Vena experience, and US GAAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or Accounting required.
• 5+ years of progressive financial analysis, FP&A, or public accounting experience.
• CPG or retail industry experience preferred; exposure to trade spend or sales allowances a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills; ability to build, automate, and audit multi-driver financial models.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis for sales allowances and commercial OPEX.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support negotiations, retail expansion, and promotional ROI analysis.
• Collaborate with Commercial leadership to translate drivers into financial projections.
• Provide ad hoc scenario planning for new opportunities, distribution, and promotion optimization.
• Partner with Accounting during month-end close to ensure accruals and proper reflection of activity.
