Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree in a business discipline.
• 4–6 years or more of experience in finance, accounting, regulatory, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial modeling, analysis, and executive-level presentation materials.
• Understanding of regulated utility finance, financial statement impacts, customer bills, regulatory outcomes, and NiSource financial metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the business case process and conduct financial analysis supporting capital investment decisions.
• Build, maintain, and improve financial and regulatory models evaluating project economics and enterprise impacts.
• Evaluate EPS, cash flow, credit, customer bill, regulatory, and other financial statement impacts of proposed investments and decisions.
• Coordinate inputs from Operations, Regulatory, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Planning, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare executive-level materials and recommendations for governance and leadership review.
• Support strategic financial planning, including the NiSource strategic plan, rate case outcome modeling, and capital target setting.
• Support emergency response efforts when required, potentially outside normal hours or typical responsibilities.
• Follow safety requirements, report hazards, and help maintain a safe work environment.
