Stony Brook University is seeking a Senior Analyst in the Budget, Financial Planning & Analysis Office to deliver advanced financial analyses, reporting, and dashboards across SUNY BI, Tableau, OBIEE, Excel and Access. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Finance, or related field.
• Three years of full-time, professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related roles.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and summarizing complex data.
• Functional knowledge of and experience with databases such as Microsoft Access.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Organize, analyze, and compile financial data to create reports and dashboards for campus leaders.
• Provide financial insights, reporting, and analysis of financial data and performance measures.
• Monitor key financial and operating metrics and assist in long-range strategic planning.
• Collaborate with programmers to create canned reports and dashboards for campus leaders.
• Back up for Central Funds Campus Financials including reconciliation of monthly plans and out-year projections.
• Support development and implementation of new systems in Financial Planning and Central Funds modules.
