Job summary

Twist Bioscience Corporation in California is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate FP&A team. You will build models and reports that run our monthly close and forecast cycles, turning inputs into clear read-outs for the FP&A team, business leaders, and the CFO.

As the OneStream power user, you will own the system, drive improvements, and synthesize forecasts with actuals to highlight variances and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
• Strong understanding of all three financial statements and how they connect.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to speed up analysis, modeling, or reporting, and curiosity about where else they can help.
• Understanding of how data flows between ERP, planning systems, and financial models.
• Ability to synthesize information from many sources and explain what it means to finance and non-finance audiences, including senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to partner across teams to deliver results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to manage projects and implement new business planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Build models, reports, and systems.
• Own production of the corporate close and forecast cycle, including scenario setup, allocations, consolidation, and the reporting package.
• Serve as the team's OneStream power user, keeping the system reliable and the team productive.
• Build the reporting infrastructure the team uses to review and challenge rolling forecast inputs from the business.
• Standardize close and forecast read-outs for the FP&A team, business leaders, and the CFO, and support ELT and Board reporting materials.
• Build and maintain three-statement financial models, tied out and review-ready before they reach leadership.
• Lead continuous improvement of our tools and processes: turn feedback from the team's monthly post-mortems into a prioritized roadmap, and deliver the changes.
• Synthesize: inputs and signals into insight.
• Turn forecasts and actuals into clear analysis of variances, risks, and trends against plan.
• Support quarterly earnings preparation and benchmarking analysis.
• Present findings directly to business partners and senior finance leadership, including the CFO.
• Support ad hoc analysis as needed.
