Our autonomy stack,OverDrive, is defining the state-of-the-art for perception, planning, and control of uncrewed vehicles, enablingthem to traverse and operate in any terrain, regardless of roads, in any condition. OverDrive was purpose-builtfor the warfighter. Through our work with DARPA and the U.S. Army, we are developing the intelligentcapabilities necessary to power modern ground operations, now and for decades to come.

In a little over a year, the company has been selected for or awarded eight-figures of OTAs and other contractsacross multiple services and DoD customers. We have raised over $10M in funding, led by Point72 Ventures, atop multi-billion dollar AUM defense tech investor.

Role Summary:

You will lead financial planning and analysis to shape how we plan, measure and execute against our strategic objectives. You are responsible for developing budgets and financial models, aligning forecasts with operating plans, and generating insights that influence decision-making across our business, including R&D, operations, and go-to-market teams. This is a hands-on, high-context role embedded close to the business, suited for someone who thrives in complexity and ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Build and maintain 3-statement and scenario-based financial models
  • Generate actionable insights and targeted analysis to inform decision-making, including on resource allocation, headcount planning, and capital investments
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to answer crucial, high-impact questions across the business
  • Track performance against our plan and analyze and explain key variances
  • Design and build dashboards and reporting tools to present key metrics and trends to leadership
  • Support the creation of board and investor materials with financial narratives and key insights

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in FP&A or a similar strategic finance role, including investment banking or consulting
  • Experience within operational finance settings at early-stage or high-growth companies, aerospace and defense or hardware manufacturing industries are a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills and deep financial modeling experience
  • Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals, including U.S. GAAP
  • Strong communicator who distills complexity for varied audiences
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Desire to dig into details, not just surface-level analysis
  • Proven track record of improving financial workflows and processes
  • Collaborative, low-ego, and high-ownership mindset

Location:

The preferred location for this position is Seattle, WA.
