Job summary

Exiger is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Strategist to join our hybrid deployment teams in the United States. You will translate customer needs into actionable requirements for our technical staff, and help enterprise clients rapidly deploy AI-native risk and supply chain solutions.

You will own defined workstreams, conduct data analysis with SQL/Snowflake, and communicate complex concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in operations consulting with tech deployments.
• Hybrid skill set: technical thinking plus strong communication.
• Proficiency querying datasets and data analysis with SQL/Snowflake.
• Light scripting in Python and R; understanding enterprise systems.

Senior Forward Deployed Strategist

Location: Mclean, VA OR Richmond, VA | Work Environment: Hybrid

We’re looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Strategist to serve as a technical translator on our forward deployment teams, working alongside our forward deployed engineers to help enterprise customers rapidly deploy AI-native solutions to complex supply chain and risk challenges, in days, not months. You'll own defined workstreams, turn customer needs into clear requirements for the technical team, and explain what the technology can and can’t do to the customer. As an AI-oriented company, we want an adept problem solver who can credibly help customers think through agentic solutions on some of the most pressing, geopolitically sensitive issues they face.

What You’ll Do

• Own Your Workstreams: Own and deliver defined workstreams within customer implementations, such as quality-checking the outputs of AI-driven processes, and keep them moving.
• Translate Between Customer and Engineering: Work with customer stakeholders to understand their bottlenecks and turn vague problems into scoped requirements for our forward deployed engineers, while explaining technical constraints to customers in plain terms.
• Support Adoption: Help run workshops, design user-centric workflows, and train end users so customers actually adopt what we deploy.
• Hands-on Data Analysis: Inspect customer data structures, clean and validate customer-provided files, and run rapid prototyping and ad hoc analysis (for example, segmentation to prioritize suppliers or parts) using SQL, Snowflake, Python, and R.
• De-risk the Program: Bring structure to ambiguous environments by anticipating customer needs and potential failure modes.
• Product Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer, flagging recurring client-specific needs that should become reusable platform capabilities and feeding field requirements back to product and engineering.

What You Need

• Consulting Experience: 2-3 years in operations consulting (Deloitte, PwC, EY, Accenture, or similar), including work on technology implementations or deployments.
• The Hybrid Skill Set: A blend of technical aptitude (computational thinking, data manipulation) and strong communication, storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
• Technical Baseline: Proficiency querying and analyzing datasets with SQL and Snowflake, and light scripting in Python and R, plus a solid understanding of how enterprise software, data architecture, and cloud environments operate. You'll need to be credible with technical counterparts and understand what is being built, but you won’t be expected to build it yourself.
• Ambiguity & Grit: A self-starter who is comfortable in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and under delivery pressure, and who brings structure to chaos.
• Credibility: An adept problem solver who earns trust with both business and technical stakeholders at the customer.
• Mobility: US-based and a US citizen, with the ability to travel up to 25% to work directly with customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain risk management (SCRM), or in SCRM combined with compliance (for example, trade, customs, or export compliance advisory).
• Experience at a technology company in or adjacent to the SCRM and compliance space.
