Trantor Inc. in Tulsa is seeking a senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers deploying AI, SingleStore databases, and cloud infrastructures. This hybrid role blends software engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, and customer success.

You will design architectures, lead workshops, automate deployments, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients, driving optimizations and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Forward Deployed Engineer with customer-facing experience.
• Expertise in SingleStore, PostgreSQL, MySQL, CockroachDB or YugabyteDB with strong SQL skills.
• Cloud and infrastructure knowledge across AWS/Azure/GCP; Kubernetes, Linux administration.
• Automation and IaC experience (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and REST APIs; monitoring with Grafana/Prometheus/Datadog.
• Experience applying AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and building AI-powered data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design database architectures, migrations, HA/DR, backups, and performance tuning.
• Implement Aura Analyst AI-powered analytics solution.
• Engage with enterprise customers as a trusted technical advisor.
• Lead architecture workshops and technical discovery sessions.
• Automate deployments using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, documentation, troubleshooting, and customer enablement.

A Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is an engineer who works directly with customers to deploy, customize, integrate, and optimize a company's technology in real-world environments. It's a hybrid role that combines software engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, and customer success.
