Job summary

SoFi in Seattle is building an internal AI platform that will change how employees work across the company. You will partner with the AI Platform engineering team, product leaders, and subject-matter experts across the company to design workflows and turn field learnings into durable platform capabilities.

As the first person in this role, you will define forward deployment, onboarding, adoption, production use, and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Deep experience designing and operating large software systems.
• Proven ability to lead ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong product judgment and problem-framing skills.
• Experience with applications, platforms, developer tools, or distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, tool use, and human-in-the-loop patterns.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a product-minded engineer, platform architect, and hands-on builder.
• Partner with leaders to identify high-value opportunities to transform work with AI.
• Embed with departments to map workflows, systems, data, constraints, and success metrics; deploy AI-enabled workflows.
• Lead departments from discovery through onboarding, adoption, production use, and outcomes.
• Develop playbooks, technical patterns, and operating practices for scalable AI enablement.
• Build reusable skills, tools, integrations, agents, and workflow components on the internal AI platform.
• Contribute to the platform when field deployments reveal gaps or improvement opportunities.
• Create tight feedback loops among users, AI Enablement, product, and platform engineering.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior leaders navigating AI opportunities and tradeoffs.
