Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Enterprise based in the United States.

Senior Forward Deployed Engineer will design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade software solutions directly within customer environments, helping organizations integrate advanced AI security capabilities into complex production systems. This hands‑on role combines backend and full‑stack engineering, systems integration, and customer‑facing technical delivery. You will work closely with engineering, security, and platform teams to translate ambiguous, high‑stakes requirements into secure, reliable, and scalable deployments. Taking ownership from initial discovery through production implementation, you will develop integrations, validate technical approaches, and resolve deployment challenges across diverse environments. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and core Engineering teams to deliver measurable customer outcomes while balancing rapid execution with long‑term maintainability. This is an opportunity to work in a fast‑growing AI security environment where technical innovation, operational reliability, and responsible AI adoption are central to the mission.

Accountabilities

  • Work directly with customer engineering, security, and platform teams to understand system architectures, technical constraints, workflows, and operational requirements.

  • Design, develop, and implement integrations between the AI security platform and customer systems, APIs, data pipelines, and runtime environments.

  • Translate complex enterprise requirements into practical proofs of concept, deployment strategies, and production‑ready architectures.

  • Serve as the primary technical owner for customer deployments, identifying, diagnosing, scoping, and resolving issues across diverse customer environments.

  • Build and extend backend services, integration components, and engineering tools that support secure and reliable deployment.

  • Ensure deployed solutions meet enterprise standards for reliability, security, observability, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Develop proofs of concept quickly to validate technical feasibility, demonstrate customer value, and inform implementation decisions.

  • Iterate on solutions based on customer feedback, operational insights, and evolving technical requirements.

  • Balance speed of delivery with long‑term maintainability, sound engineering practices, and consistency with the broader platform.

  • Partner with Sales, Product, and core engineering teams to coordinate technical delivery, resolve blockers, and achieve successful customer outcomes.

  • Communicate technical findings, architectural trade‑offs, implementation risks, and recommendations clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of complex technical challenges in fast‑moving, customer‑facing environments where security, reliability, and trust are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Hands‑on experience building and deploying production‑grade software systems.

  • Strong background in backend or full‑stack software engineering, including designing and implementing APIs, services, and system integrations.

  • Proficiency in Python and at least one systems‑oriented or backend programming language, such as Go, Java, C++, or Rust.

  • Familiarity with cloud‑native architectures and distributed systems, including experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience working in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments and taking ownership of technical outcomes from discovery through deployment.

  • Confidence working directly with customers and external stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate trade‑offs, and deliver technical solutions.

  • Ability to diagnose complex integration issues, develop practical solutions, and adapt to changing customer and operational needs.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, problem‑solving, and technical judgment, particularly in high‑stakes customer environments.

  • Understanding of security fundamentals, including authentication, authorization, monitoring, and secure system design.

  • Preferred: Experience with data pipelines, event‑driven systems, or service‑oriented architectures.

  • Preferred: Experience deploying or integrating enterprise software directly into customer environments.

  • Preferred: Background in security engineering, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI systems, machine‑learning‑enabled products, or AI security concepts; building AI models is not required.

  • Preferred: Experience in forward‑deployed engineering, technical consulting, technical pre‑sales, or other customer‑facing engineering roles.

  • A proactive, curious, and adaptable mindset, with a commitment to building reliable, secure systems and solving challenging technical problems.

Benefits

  • 28 days of annual leave, including vacation and holidays.

  • Health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Flexible work arrangements.

  • Visa sponsorship available for exceptional candidates.

  • Opportunity to take ownership of high‑impact engineering projects and work with globally recognized customers.

  • Collaborative work with customer teams and internal Sales, Product, and Engineering specialists in a growing AI security environment.
