Dow Jones Forward Deployed Engineer (Staff) is a hands-on staff role in Hybrid New York, responsible for embedding with engineering teams to ship AI-assisted development. You’ll drop into teams, unblock friction, and feed learnings back into the platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of prior relevant experience in software engineering, programming, or a related technical discipline.
• Solid expertise in coding and building scalable, performant, and secure software architectures, adapting policies and practices as needed.
• Experience guiding workstreams and applying software quality, automation, and continuous delivery practices.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure software across front-end, back-end, and cloud environments independently.
• Resolve complex technical cases with practical solutions to optimize architectures and automation.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate clearly with product, data, and design teams.
