Cloudera is seeking a seasoned Forward Deployed AI Engineer to embed with enterprise customers, designing and delivering scalable AI/ML solutions on the Cloudera platform.

You will build full‑stack AI apps, partner with strategic customers to advance prototypes to production, and shape enterprise AI architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and deploying production-grade systems, incl. 2–4 years ML/GenAI/agentic apps.
• Hands-on software/data engineering and applied AI/ML for full-stack ML apps.
• Experience with foundation models, context engineering, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• LLMOps/MLOps: evaluation, observability, serving, monitoring.
• Design scalable AI architectures aligned to enterprise standards (security, governance).
• Engage directly with customers (technical & executive) to translate needs into strategy.
• High agency to operate autonomously in fast-moving environments.
• Mentorship and reusable tooling to enable others.
• BSc/MSc/PhD in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build & prototype AI/ML apps on Cloudera to demonstrate enterprise use cases.
• Partner with strategic customers to move prototypes toward production readiness.
• Shape enterprise AI architecture with roadmap and solution design insight.
• Codify patterns into repeatable architectures, starter kits, and playbooks.
• Mentor Cloudera teams and channel customer signals to product teams.
