Job summary

EY is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in Applied AI for Financial Services, based in Charlotte. You will design and lead AI/ML solutions, translate business needs into technical designs, and drive delivery across large, complex initiatives with enterprise impact.

You will mentor AI engineers and data scientists, work with cross-functional teams, and ensure reliable, scalable AI systems in production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of applied engineering experience, including significant AI/ML engineering roles.
• Proven ability to lead AI projects and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support production-grade AI/ML, generative AI, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Solve complex technical problems through coding, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and structured design remediation.
• Translate business requirements into sound technical designs, APIs, workflows, and implementation patterns.
• Lead workstreams or project delivery responsibilities through planning, coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Drive engineering quality through CI/CD practices, automated testing, observability, and documentation.
