Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer IV, Applied AI, to own end-to-end delivery of customer AI initiatives. You will transform rapid prototypes into production-ready agentic solutions, leading technical delivery at large customer sites and shaping customer journeys for AI pilots.

Expect high travel and close collaboration with customers and Google’s AI platform teams. You will work across software engineering, ML operations, and cloud infrastructure to deliver secure AI systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development using Python or similar languages.
• Experience deploying resources via Terraform or similar tools to automate setup of agents, functions, or networking.
• Experience building full-stack applications that interact with enterprise IT infrastructures and developing external customer projects.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead developer for conversational AI and customer experience applications, transitioning prototypes to production-grade workflows.
• Architect and code conversational flows bridging Google’s AI products with customers’ live infrastructure and data silos.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks for agent workloads and security.
• Identify reusable patterns and friction points in the Applied AI stack.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams to ensure project success and end-user adoption.
