Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Greenville, NC is seeking a manufacturing professional to join our 2-2-3 rotating shift. The role emphasizes GMP compliance, safety, and leadership in coordinating bulk manufacturing, filling, and maintenance activities to ensure quality products.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least two years in pharma/biopharma or related operations, with preference for experience in Oral Solid Dose or sterile manufacturing and prior leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, operations, lab setting or sterile manufacturing is required.
• Preferred: Experience in Oral Solid Dose or Steriles or leadership experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations are performed in a safe and responsible manner, striving to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace.
• Comply with all job-related safety, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and other department procedural requirements.
• Coordinate and motivate personnel to ensure finished product meets GMP requirements.
• Take corrective action in a timely manner to meet production schedules and targets.
• Plan and execute a work routing to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely with available resources.
• Identify root causes of problems in equipment or processes and manage maintenance tickets.
• Troubleshoot and operate area manufacturing equipment and maintain performance.
• Provide leadership for parts preparation, maintenance, and implementation of 5S practices across storage areas.
• Communicate and resolve production, quality, or safety issues.
• Foster teamwork to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
• Interface with SAP system for data entry.
• Act as OJT program champion and SME for area of responsibility.
