Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a team-based manufacturing lab focused on packing and testing ion exchange media used in chromatography consumables. You will perform routine and complex production testing, document results, analyze data, and support continuous improvement while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biotechnology preferred.
• Hands-on Chemistry laboratory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GLP and GMP.
• Understanding of ISO/QSR/IVD regulations.
• Proficiency with chromatography software is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs in English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Test and qualify resin products using specialized laboratory instruments.
• Record, document, and report test results accurately.
• Complete complex production work orders according to established procedures.
• Analyze test data, draw conclusions, and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Follow ISO 9001, GMP, QSR, and IVD requirements.
• Follow EH&S procedures and participate in safety improvement activities.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Follow SOPs and verbal/written instructions.
• Prioritize tasks according to production schedules.
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, torque drivers, and tweezers.
• Apply Lean manufacturing and PPI continuous improvement methods.
• Perform work independently with assistance when needed.
• Meet established deadlines, production targets, and quality requirements.

Summary

• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Understanding of ISO, QSR, and IVD regulations.
• Knowledge of chromatography software is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; PowerPoint preferred.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
