Job summary

L&R Distributors seeks a Product Development Manager of Formulation to lead high-impact product development across beauty categories. This hands-on role covers concept through commercialization, including formulation, testing, and scale-up with contract manufacturers.

You will drive OTC and SPF formulations, collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial teams, and manage timelines and budgets while delivering shelf-ready products for major retailers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
8+ years in product development in beauty/personal care/OTC categories.
Experience with OTC drug products and SPF formulations.
Strong experience with contract manufacturers.
Ability to manage complex timelines, testing programs, and budgets.

Responsibilities

Lead formulation development and scale-up across beauty categories.
Coordinate validation and commercialization readiness for product lines.
Manage timelines, critical paths, and budgets for development and scale-up.
Drive lab, pilot, and full-scale production with contract manufacturers.
Ensure regulatory compliance and packaging compatibility.
Collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial teams to drive execution.
