Job summary

Celcuity is seeking a Senior or Principal Scientist, Formulation and Process Development, to lead formulation efforts for its drug products. You will drive formulation and process development from pre-formulation to scale-up, reporting to the Director of Pharmaceutical Development.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D./M.S./B.S. in a related field with 7+ years of pharma development experience, especially in sterile, parenteral formulations and device-associated products.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./M.S./B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or related fields.
• 7+ years of pharmaceutical development experience (varies by degree).
• Demonstrated experience with formulation development and drug product development.
• Expertise in sterile, parenteral dosage forms; knowledge of other dosage forms is a plus.
• Experience with drug-device combination products (e.g., prefilled syringes, autoinjectors).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects for novel and existing formulations across product lifecycle.
• Design, execute, and interpret formulation and process experiments at contract labs/CDMOs.
• Identify and vet contract organizations for formulation development.
• Develop project plans for formulation lifecycle management.
• Support IP and regulatory filings with technical sections.
• Summarize and present data to cross-functional teams.
