Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior/Principal Scientist in Formulation and Process Development to lead projects for novel and existing drug formulations, including pre-formulation, dosage form selection, and scale-up, with collaboration across internal teams and external labs.

The role emphasizes IP and regulatory support, strong physicochemical characterization, and cross-functional collaboration, focusing on oncology indications and progression from early to late stages of development.

Qualifications

Ph.D./M.S./B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, or related field.
7+ years industry experience (4+ for Ph.D., 5+ for M.S., 7+ for B.S.).
Expertise in formulation strategies for small molecules, especially poorly water-soluble APIs.
Strong physicochemical characterization skills and experience supporting preclinical studies.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Lead formulation and process development projects for novel and existing drug formulations including pre-formulation and scale-up.
Collaborate with contract labs and CDMOs.
Contribute to IP and regulatory filings.
Stay current with formulation innovations and serve as a subject matter expert.
