Job summary

Adidas in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a forklift operator for weekend shifts (Fri-Sun, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM). You will safely operate PITs, process orders, and support warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution center.

You must have at least a high school diploma or GED, and six months of forklift experience. Training and Adidas certification will be provided to operate equipment safely. Occasional overtime and weekend work are required, with attention to safety and quality.

Job description

Pay Rate: $27.50 / Hour

Shift: Weekend Shift ONLY- Friday to Sunday (7:00 AM- 7:30 PM)

Purpose: Safely operate any assigned powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts, stand up order picker / cherry picker as well as other powered equipment to move product around the distribution center. Accurately process orders in and out of the distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize powered equipment, pick and put away product efficiently and accurately, as assigned by supervisor
• Utilize computerized warehouse management systems (WMS) and radio frequency (RF) scanners to process all barcoded products
• Identify and communicate inventory exceptions to the leadership team
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Accurately record production by task and complete any necessary paperwork
• Flexibility to train and work in multiple areas
• Understand and apply health and safety guidelines/procedures
• Work safely and maintain a clean work environment
• Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
• Participate in Lean Six Sigma activities
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to attain an adidas certification to safely operate any assigned powered equipment, including but not limited to: order picker, reach truck, etc.

• Ability to communicate both verbally and written in English
• Regularly required to talk or hear; sit, stand or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push and pull for up to twelve (12) hours/day
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
• Ability to reliably attend work/scheduled hours
• Occasionally required to sit; bending, twisting, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; and stoop, kneel, or crouch

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum of six (6) months previous experience operating forklifts
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
