Job summary

NEW Solutions is seeking a Forester to provide technical support to forest landowners for conservation forest management under the ACE program. The role operates in Kentucky Area 2 and collaborates with NRCS staff and partners to deliver planning and implementation assistance.

The position requires forestry expertise, a BA/BS in forestry or equivalent experience, and a valid driver's license. Travel to field sites and trainings is expected.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of forestry experience OR BA/BS degree in Forestry.
• Valid State Driver's license.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Technical support to forest landowners concerning conservation forest management and assistance available for landowners throughout Area 2 in Kentucky.
• Train NRCS and partner staff on forestry assessment, practice planning and practice implementation.
• Collaborate with NRCS state forester, partner affiliate staff, technical service providers, and the public.
• Ability to initiate and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
