Overview
STi seeks a Senior Forensic Technician/Analyst to support NSWCDD under a Navy IT Support Services contract. The position provides advanced cyber forensics, incident response, and malware analysis across Navy RDT&E and enterprise IT systems. Candidate serves as a senior technical lead supporting command-level investigations and system recovery operations. Clearance: Active TS/SCI.
Primary Duties
- Conduct full-scope digital and mobile forensics on classified/unclassified systems, servers, and devices.
- Support cyber incident and insider threat investigations; preserve and analyze digital evidence.
- Perform packet-level network analysis and identify malicious activity or policy violations.
- Develop and execute network contingency and recovery plans per DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies.
- Generate detailed, defensible forensic reports for command review.
- Support RMF and cybersecurity risk management processes.
- Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO/ISSE personnel to strengthen network defense posture.
- Mentor junior analysts; serve as subject-matter expert in forensic operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum six (6) years of DoD/Navy cyber or IT security experience.
- Proven experience in software, hardware, and wireless forensics, network recovery planning, and packet analysis.
- Meets IAT Level III (DoD 8570) certification requirements (e.g., CISSP, CASP CE, GCIH).
- GCFE certification (preferred or within 90 days of hire).
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior support to NAVSEA, NSWCDD, or Warfare Center cybersecurity programs.
- Experience with EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, X-Ways, Wireshark, and SIEM tools.
- Leadership or mentorship experience in forensic/cyber teams.
