A PE license is required in your resident state, with multi-state licensing preferred; experience delivering expert assessments and serving as an expert witness is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license, minimum required for resident state; multi-state licensing preferred.
• Expert witness testimony experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine origin and cause and extent of structural failures in a variety of buildings.
• Survey losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial structures.
• Investigate and document the scope of damage from recent events.
• Produce detailed reports outlining cause and origin of losses for insurers and litigation.
• Serve as an expert witness in court or depositions.
