Job summary

County of San Diego is seeking a Senior Forensic Evidence Technician to lead forensic operations within the Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation team. Qualifications

  • An associate's degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency, plus an Evidence Technology certificate or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of full-time experience as an Evidence Technician in a law enforcement agency.
  • Alternatively, two (2) years as a Forensic Evidence Technician with the County of San Diego or as an Evidence Technician in a law enforcement agency.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, collect, preserve, and transport physical evidence from crime scenes and autopsies.
  • Perform crime scene documentation, fingerprint processing, living and deceased print collection, firearms processing, photography, and in-house latent print development.

Education

Associate degree or higher + Evidence Tech cert
Two years experience as Evidence Technician
