Summary

Seeking Senior Professional Engineers experienced in evaluating distress in existing buildings, structures, and envelopes. Responsibilities include overseeing investigative projects, client coordination, site visits, resource management, report writing, analysis, building code review, and deadline management to ensure timely, professional deliverables.

The ideal candidate has an established network of clients and experience building and maintaining professional relationships.

This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere in the US.

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Act as a primary lead on projects.
  2. Coordinate with clients to arrange site visits and deliverables.
  3. Manage project resources and deadlines to keep projects on schedule.
  4. Produce comprehensive reports integrating onsite inspection data, environmental factors, material properties, and performance analysis to identify causes of distress and failure.
  5. Conduct site visits to collect data on residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
  6. Review and interpret relevant building codes related to the scope of work.
  7. Oversee repair design development when requested, ensuring cross-disciplinary coordination.
  8. Make independent project decisions, including analysis methods, testing, repair materials, and resource selection.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active PE license required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in forensic engineering preferred
  • Proven ability to produce detailed technical reports
  • Salary and bonus are commensurate with experience

Compensation

The pay range for this role is USD 140,000 - 275,000 per year (Remote).
