Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of foreign filing experience.
• Seven years of overall IP experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.
• Must work well in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer and research skills.
• Ability to train others and improve procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage case load for specific clients; review outgoing correspondence and ensure docket is cleared.
• Maintain knowledge of foreign filing requirements, rules, tax laws, renewal dates.
• Provide second-eye review for work by others.
• Prepare and file new foreign applications and instructions for new foreign applications as needed.
• Prepare and send communications to clients and foreign associates.
• Conduct research on rule changes and websites; liaise with patent offices and vendors.
• Interact daily with legal personnel regarding client and firm matters.
• Assist in preparing daily/weekly/monthly statistical reports.
• Assist in developing and implementing new foreign filing procedures.
