Job summary

The University of Minnesota, Duluth (UMD) Dining Services seeks a dedicated team member for a 9-month, full-time non-faculty labor position in Duluth. You will prepare and serve food, operate kitchen equipment, maintain sanitary work areas, and lead on customer service with student staff under supervision.

This in-person role offers competitive wages of $23.46–$26.24 per hour, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within Dining Operations. Background check required.

UMD Dining Services provides diverse and high-quality dining options across campus, including Superior Dining, our all-you-care-to-eat residential dining center, and a Food Court with five unique concepts-Subs & Wraps, Burgers, Pizza, Burritos, and Grab & Go. We also operate Northern Shores Coffee Shop, two dining kiosks, and a full-service restaurant, along with catering services for campus events. Dining Services focuses on providing diverse food options, sustainability efforts, and quality service to the campus community.

Job Duties:

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) years relevant experience or education in large food operations or quantity food production.

  • Proficient in verbal communication, written communication and accurate record keeping

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $23.46 - $26.24 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience
